The United Supreme Council, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Prince Hall Affiliation, Northern Jurisdiction ("USC," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our registration system for the 145th Annual Session.

Personal Information

When you register for the Annual Session, we collect:

  • Full name (first, middle, last, suffix)
  • Email address and phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Member number and classification
  • Orient, Valley, and Consistory/Assembly affiliation
  • Scottish Rite information (KCCH status, year elevated)
  • Emergency contact information
  • Dietary restrictions and accessibility needs

Payment Information

Payment information (credit card numbers, bank details) is processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store complete payment card information on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card for reference purposes.

Account Information

When you create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk), we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text.

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and general location
  • Pages visited and actions taken on our site
  • Date and time of visits

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and manage your registration for the Annual Session
  • Communicate with you about your registration, payments, and event updates
  • Send confirmation emails and registration receipts
  • Verify your membership status and eligibility
  • Generate name badges and event credentials
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and accessibility needs
  • Contact emergency contacts if necessary during the event

Event Venue

We may share attendee counts and dietary/accessibility requirements with the Detroit Renaissance Marriott Hotel for event planning purposes. Individual personal information is not shared unless necessary for specific accommodations.

USC Leadership

Registration information may be shared with USC officers and Orient Deputies for administrative purposes related to the Annual Session.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

We retain your registration information for the duration of the registration period and for up to three (3) years following the Annual Session for administrative, legal, and historical purposes. Payment records may be retained longer as required by law. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Our registration system uses cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Maintaining your login session
  • Remembering your preferences
  • Analyzing site usage (anonymized analytics)

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the registration system.
